GCSE tutor with SEN experience

Role Overview
As a GCSE SEN Tutor, you will provide tailored one-to-one or small group support to students preparing for their GCSE examinations who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Sessions may take place in schools, community settings, or students' homes, depending on the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and structured GCSE tuition sessions in subjects such as English, Maths, or Science

Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles

Assess students' current levels and identify areas for improvement

Plan and adapt lessons to meet each student's specific needs and learning targets

Help students develop effective revision and exam techniques

Track progress and provide feedback on student development

Requirements

Strong subject knowledge at GCSE level (degree or relevant qualification preferred)

Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Experience working with secondary school students or tutoring at GCSE level

Ability to build positive relationships and motivate learners

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
