Firmware/Embedded Software Engineer

Contract: 6 months, outside IR35, Manchester, 2 days a week on site, rate DOE

Project Scope: Development and optimisation of embedded firmware for a new electronic product, supporting hardware bring-up, feature development and preparation for production release. The role will work closely with electronics and test engineers to deliver stable, production-ready firmware.

Technical Scope:

Embedded firmware development in C/C++

Microcontroller-based systems (e.g. STM32, NXP, Microchip or similar)

Hardware bring-up, board-level debugging and peripheral driver development

Communication interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB or Ethernet

RTOS-based development and task scheduling (where applicable)
