Job Description

Firmware/Embedded Software Engineer\n\nContract: 6 months, outside IR35, Manchester, 2 days a week on site, rate DOE\n\nProject Scope:\nDevelopment and optimisation of embedded firmware for a new electronic product, supporting hardware bring-up, feature development and preparation for production release. The role will work closely with electronics and test engineers to deliver stable, production-ready firmware.\n\nTechnical Scope:\n\nEmbedded firmware development in C/C++\n\nMicrocontroller -based systems (e.g. STM32, NXP, Microchip or similar)\n\nHardware bring-up, board-level debugging and peripheral driver development\n\nCommunication interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB or Ethernet\n\nRTOS-based development and task scheduling (where applicable)
