Job Description

Finstech is partnering with their public sector client in Ipswich to find an experienced Fire Safety Manager at a truly exciting time. Our client is mid-way through a £10 million fire safety improvement programme across a portfolio of 7,800 homes and 15 sheltered schemes ? and they need the right expert to lead it.

This is a senior, high-impact role with real influence, a significant budget and the opportunity to shape fire safety strategy from the ground up.



What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as principal Duty Holder for fire safety across the entire housing portfolio
  • Leading and developing a team of Fire Safety Surveyors
  • Managing a £10m improvement programme, supplier contracts and procurement
  • Developing and implementing fire safety strategies, policies and site-specific plans
  • Conducting and overseeing Fire Risk Assessments across all properties
  • Serving as the primary liaison with Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service
  • Ensuring full compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Act 2022
  • Reporting performance to senior management and elected members



What We're Looking For

  • Relevant fire safety qualifications (IFE, NEBOSH Fire, Level 4 FRA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior fire safety role, ideally within social housing or the public sector
  • Strong knowledge of current fire safety legislation
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
