Fire Alarm Engineer - Role and Responsibilities:
Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems to industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant with regulations. Fault diagnosis and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring fast and effective resolution of issues. Upgrade and modify systems to meet client needs and comply with current standards. Ensure compliance with British Standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by liaising with clients, addressing queries, and delivering expert advice. Maintain accurate documentation including service reports, maintenance logs, and installation certificates. Collaborate with other engineers and trades to ensure efficient project delivery. Stay up to date with the latest fire alarm technology and industry standards through continuous training.
Fire Alarm Engineer - Skills & Experience:
Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment. Proven experience in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Excellent fault-finding skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with industry standards and fire safety regulations. Ability to interpret technical drawings and system specifications. Strong organisational and time-management skills. A methodical, detail-oriented approach to work. Commitment to health and safety practices in all tasks. Full UK driving licence or equivalent. Experience with various manufacturers.
