Part of ASM, the world’s largest global venue management business, the successful candidate will partner all areas of the business to help drive future growth in a fast-paced environment.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport in the preparation of the long-term strategic business plansPrepare and manage rolling monthly P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow forecastsDelivering high-quality monthly management information and reporting for the senior leadership team and board, including variance analysisProviding financial commercial input to the venue functional leaders as requiredSupport decision making and provide guidance for new initiatives and special projectsCreating business cases to support future transformation initiativesSupporting the team in development of timely event specific informationIdentifying trends and business opportunities as well as cost saving initiatives to meet business objectivesManage the annual budget process across the business and in collaboration with ASM colleaguesWorking with Finance Director to maintain and further develop strong internal financial controlsConsolidation accounting and statutory account preparation under FRS102, to be able to answer audit queries (desirable)Complete any other ad hoc duties as defined by Head of Finance or senior stakeholdersExperience, Skills & KnowledgeQualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)At least 2 years’ experience in FP&A roleStrong financial modelling analytical and strategic thinking skillsHighly proficient excel and PowerBI skills and experience working with complex data in a commercial environmentExcellent PowerPoint skills with the confidence to present to senior stakeholdersConsistently accurate with strong attention to detailHighly structured and organised individual with the ability to manage own workload, meeting deadlines accuratelyAbility to work across the business with financial and non-financial partnersAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing fast paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, capable of building successful relationships with both more senior and more junior stakeholdersAble to prepare statutory accounts under FRS102 (desirable)Safeguarding, Equality and InclusionOlympia Events is fully committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children, young people and adults at risk (vulnerable groups) that attend our premises.
