Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Ashford Contract: Permanent Rate: £60,000 – £70,000 DOE Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm)
Our Client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and enhance their finance function. You will manage a small team and play a key role in driving improvements, implementing change, and preparing the department for future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reporting.
* Line manage a team of three within the finance department.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Lead the implementation of SAGE and provide ongoing system support.
* Identify and execute process improvements to streamline workflows.
* Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
* Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
* Ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background.
* Professional qualifications preferred: ACCA, CIMA, or AAT.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
