Financial Controller Ashford Permanent £60,000 - £70,000 DOE Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm) Key Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reporting. Line manage a team of three within the finance department. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Lead the implementation of SAGE and provide ongoing system support. Identify and execute process improvements to streamline workflows. Provide strategic financial advice to senior management. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role. Ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background. Professional qualifications preferred: ACCA, CIMA, or AAT. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Hands‑on approach with a passion for implementing change. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAGE essential.
