WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead and manage the financial control function of Santam Syndicate and related entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in the initial design and build of the financial systems, ledger structure and environment. To oversee and lead on performance monitoring, robust financial controls, financial reporting and governance in a Lloyd’s environment.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE?
Key responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS/Lloyd’s and liaise with auditors Co-ordinate with Asta on the preparation and submission of the syndicate’s quarterly and annual financial reporting to Lloyd’s.
