NXTGEN are pleased to be exclusively partnering with a small, family-run business based North of Norwich to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a genuinely varied Accounts Assistant role, offering far more than a traditional finance position.

This opportunity will suit an experienced Accounts Assistant who enjoys being hands-on, getting involved in all areas of the business, and playing a key role in the day-to-day running of a close-knit team. While finance will be your core focus, this is not a siloed Accounts Assistant position. You will be expected to support the wider business as required, adapting to ad-hoc tasks and engaging with customers where needed.

Key responsibilities will include:

Processing purchase and sales invoices
Managing bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end duties
VAT

Year End Support
Supporting credit control and supplier queries
Answering incoming calls and speaking with customers
Providing general administrative and operational support across the business
Getting involved in ad-hoc tasks to support the wider team

You will be an experienced Accounts Assistant who is comfortable stepping outside traditional finance duties and enjoys contributing to a variety of areas within the business. You will be proactive, adaptable, and happy to engage directly with customers and colleagues.
