About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Finance Administrator with experience supporting finance and project administration within the construction industry. Based in Canary Wharf, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, Project Managers, QS team, and wider commercial function to ensure smooth financial processes across multiple projects.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and understands how construction finance works—from subcontractor payments to cost tracking and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration

*

Process purchase orders, invoices, and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and correct coding.

*

Prepare payment runs and support monthly financial reporting cycles.

*

Carry out reconciliation tasks (supplier statements, credit card receipts, expenses).

*

Assist with payroll documentation and timesheet collation when required.

*

Maintain accurate financial records in line with company processes and auditing standards.

Construction Project Administration

*

Support Project Managers with cost tracking, budgets, and financial reporting.

*

Ensure all finance-related project documentation is filed, updated, and compliant.

*

Liaise with subcontractors for remittances, payment queries, and documentation requests.

*

Update project cost sheets and assist with producing cost/value reports (CVRs).

*

Support the commercial team with procurement documentation and contract admin tasks.

General Administrative Support

*

Maintain organised digital project folders and finance archives.

*

Assist with preparation of client invoices and application for payments (AFPs).

*

Support office operations and team communications where necessary.

Skills & Experience Required

*

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Finance Admin, Accounts Assistant, or Project Administrator role.

*

Construction sector experience is essential (M&E, main contractor, subcontractor, or project delivery environment)
