Financial Accountant (Temp to Perm)📍 Sunderland | Hybrid Working 💰 Circa £50,000 – £65,000 A well-established manufacturing business in Sunderland is seeking a Financial Accountant (temp to perm) to join its site-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into a broad, hands-on role with team leadership responsibility, offering a clear pathway into a Financial Controller position. You'll be joining a busy manufacturing environment, working closely with operations and taking ownership of key financial processes while supporting and guiding a small finance team. The RoleAs a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function while developing your leadership experience. Key responsibilities include: Preparing monthly financial accounts and reporting Maintaining strong financial controls and processes Supporting and leading a small finance team Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and accuracy Supporting budgeting and forecasting Working closely with operational stakeholders on site Ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and visibility across the business. About You We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
