Field Services Technician
- London & Surrounding Areas
- £35,420 Basic + Night Shift Allowance (~£3,600) + Overtime (OTE £43,000)

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys working independently and solving real-world technical problems?
We’re looking for a Field Services Technician to support critical transport infrastructure across London. This role involves maintaining and repairing complex electromechanical systems that keep a major transport network running safely and efficiently.
You’ll work in a structured and well-supported engineering environment where technicians are trusted to manage their own workload while following clear safety and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance on transport and gate systems Attend planned and reactive jobs across the London network Work independently while following strict safety procedures Complete job reports using a tablet-based job system Manage allocated tools, stock, and equipment
Requirements
Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering Minimum 3 years engineering experience Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) Comfortable working within a regulated rail environment Previous night shift experience if applying for night roles
Nice to Have
Mechanical experience with motors, gears, belts, and pulleys Background in transport, white goods, vending, parking, or fare collection equipment Ex-military engineering background
