Our Family Department continues to grow, and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Family Solicitor to join our team.The RoleWe are looking for a Family Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE who has experience handling both privately funded and Legal Aid family matters.The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload independently and contribute to the continued development of the department.This role is available on a full-time permanent basis or as a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), depending on candidate preference.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a mixed caseload of private and Legal Aid family mattersConducting advocacy where appropriateHandling matters including (but not limited to):Divorce and financial remedy proceedingsPrivate children mattersPublic law children proceedingsDomestic abuse and injunction applicationsCare proceedingsCohabitation and TOLATA disputesDrafting pleadings, statements, and court applicationsAdvising clients clearly and sensitivelyConducting client meetings and consultationsEnsuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements (where applicable)Meeting departmental billing and performance targetsMaintaining high standards of file management and regulatory complianceEssential RequirementsQualified Solicitor in England & WalesMinimum 3 years PQE in Family LawExperience handling both private and Legal Aid mattersStrong working knowledge of:Children Act proceedingsFamily Procedure RulesLegal Aid Agency processesAbility to manage own caseload with minimal supervisionExcellent drafting and advocacy skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsClient-focused with a professional and empathetic approachDesirableFamily Law Accreditation (Law Society)Supervisor status under Legal Aid contractAdvocacy experience in contested hearingsJBRP1_UKTJ
