Estimator – Reading – £55k–£75k + Bonus\n\nLocation: Reading\nSalary: £55,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience) + benefits\nCompany: Leading Fit Out Contractor\n\nReporting To: Managing Director\nProject Values: £1m – £5m\nSectors: Commercial fit outs and refurbishments\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe’re working with an established but rapidly growing, fit out contractor, who are looking to expand their pre-construction team with an experienced Estimator.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, ambitious company delivering high-quality commercial office and industrial fit out and refurbishment projects across South East England.\n\nYou’ll be given the autonomy to lead your own tenders and work closely with the Managing Director and wider pre-construction team.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * \n\n Independently manage and lead tenders from initial enquiry through to submission\n\n * \n\n Prepare accurate and competitive cost plans and tender submissions\n\n * \n\n Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners throughout the process\n\n * \n\n Carry out site visits and subcontractor pricing evaluations\n\n * \n\n Attend tender interviews and presentations as required\n\n * \n\n Work collaboratively with design, planning, and delivery teams\n\n * \n\n Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks\n\n * \n\n Support junior estimators or pre-construction staff if required\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as an Estimator in the fit out or refurbishment sector\n\n * \n\n Confident managing tenders in the £1m–£3m range\n\n * \n\n Strong technical knowledge across office fit out, refurbishment, and cut & carve schemes\n\n * \n\n Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines\n\n * \n\n Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. ConQuest, Excel, or similar)\n\n * \n\n A proactive, solutions-driven approach\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n * \n\n Salary between £55,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)\n\n * \n\n Strong benefits package\n\n * \n\n Genuine opportunity for progression as the business continues to grow - you have the chance to become their Head of Commercial within the next 3 years!\n\n * \n\n A supportive team environment and direct reporting line to the Managing Director\n\n * \n\n The chance to work on standout projects\n\nApply now to take a lead role in a growing pre-construction team at one of the most exciting up-and-coming contractors in the fit out market
