Job Description

  • Senior Manager role in our Employment Tax business.
  • Lead client engagements, deliver complex employment tax advice, and drive key initiatives.
  • Support business development and market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical and commercially focused advice and facilitate implementation of solutions for clients.
  • Oversee a wide range of employment tax advisory projects, from strategic to risk and opportunity reviews.
  • Lead employer compliance activities (IR35, employment status, termination payments, PAYE health checks, HMRC reviews, voluntary disclosures, PAYE Settlement Agreements, payroll advisory, pay governance).
  • Develop new opportunities, manage deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through business development activities.
  • Stay current with evolving tax legislation and best practice.

What Will Be Expected Of You In This Role

  • Build and nurture strong client and colleague relationships to foster growth.
  • Implement comprehensive employment tax strategies aligned to Vialto’s objectives.
  • Work both globally and nationally, independently when required.
  • Share best practice and knowledge with the wider team.
  • Lead employment tax projects with cross‑functional teams.
  • Supervise junior staff on a day‑to‑day basis and oversee their development.

  • Commitment to great client service with clear, timely communication.
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in using technology to analyse client data.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with strict deadline focus.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • High drive, enthusiasm and positive attitude when facing pressure.

Qualifications

Practical experience in employment tax matters with a strong background in this area. Preferred certifications include ACA / ATT / CTA (or equivalent breadth of knowledge to CTA), Tax Inspectors with full technical training or individuals with a Law qualification.
