Employee Relations Specialist Job Description Our Business Support teams deliver the vital services to ensure the continued success of our business divisions. Reporting into the Employee Relations Manager, the Employee Relations Specialist will support managers with full case management and administrative support on ER issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, probation, AWOL, flexible working, investigations, restructures, Consultations and TUPE. This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to be in our Warwick HQ 1 day per week, as well as ad-hoc travel to other telent sites on occasion. Please note this is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. What you ll do: Advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relations in line with Telent specific policies and procedures both at the informal and formal stages Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance, and absence management. Effective co-ordination and support of Consultations and TUPE situations. Providing advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capability, grievance, and coaching managers where appropriate. Managing employment Tribunal and ACAS Early conciliation related cases including settlement agreements and redundancy cases. Involvement in ad hoc projects/activities which may include leading on local or large group consultations depending on the scope of the activity. Ensuring managers are upskilled to deal with people in a fair and effective manner by having input into training courses such as disciplinary/grievance but also training managers individually or as a group with topics such as flexible working. Who you are: You're a confident and proactive HR professional with a solid background in employee relations, ideally gained within a similar industry to telent. You have a strong understanding of UK employment law and are skilled at handling complex cases with discretion and fairness. Key Requirements: Experience of providing HR ER advice in line with relevant policies and legislation, ideally in a case management set up. Experience of working on significant TUPEs, Consultations and restructure processes Well organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage high volume of case work and queries to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written skills. Good working knowledge of current employment legislation and its application in the workplace CIPD qualified or working towards Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities.
