Electrical Site Manager - Solar

A client of ours are looking for an Electrical Site Manager for their ground mount solar farm project in the Kent area.

Start date for this role is ASAP and it will go on until the end of August 2026.

You MUST have experience of working on a ground mount solar farm in a supervisory/managerial position.

Hours range between 8-10 hours a day and you would have to work Saturdays when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily on‑site supervision ensuring full compliance with project scope, engineering standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Identifies, documents, and escalates risks, issues, delays, and incidents while driving corrective actions with the project team.
Manages subcontractors, suppliers, logistics, materials, and day‑to‑day site operations to meet quality, schedule, and contractual standards.
Reviews drawings, method statements, technical documents, and subcontractor scopes to ensure correct on‑site implementation.
Enforces health, safety, environmental, and site‑access controls, including contractor inductions and compliance with UK legislation.
Maintains comprehensive documentation such as site diaries, progress logs, defects, quality records, and environmental/ESG data.
Conducts routine and ad hoc inspections, drives defect rectification, and supports handover, commissioning, and O&M transition.
Coordinates closely with internal teams, engineers, HSE personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders, while leading site culture and communication.
Operates within defined authority limits, escalating financial or binding decisions and ensuring alignment with company policies.
Provides additional project‑related monitoring, consulting, and support tasks when required, within competency and safety limits.

Requirements:

Previous experience of working on a ground mount solar farm in a supervisory/managerial position.
Black ECS/CSCS card
3-Day First Aid
Ability to run a busy construction site independently.
Strong team and site management skills.
Good IT skills for reporting and site administration
