Senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) Salary up to £48,000 + shift supplements Are you an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer looking to step into a senior role within a highly automated, technically advanced environment? This is an opportunity to become a key member of an engineering team where your expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills truly matter. The Role You'll be working in a modern, heavily automated site (approx. 80%) , maintaining and improving a wide range of machinery and systems. The role offers a balanced mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault-finding , with a strong move towards structured, CMMS-driven maintenance. This is more than a hands-on role — you'll be trusted to step up, mentor others, and lead when managers are unavailable , making it ideal for an engineer ready to take on greater responsibility. Key Responsibilities Electrical isolation and fault-finding on automated equipment
PLC fault diagnosis (plug-and-play systems)
Mechanical maintenance including pneumatics, motors, chains, and conveyors
Maintenance of automation equipment such as: Conveyors & motorised rollers
Automated pickers and shuttles
Packaging, bagging, strapping, and labelling machinery
