Electrical Engineer – Senior to Associate Level\n\n Location: Manchester\n Working Pattern: 3–4 days office-based\n\n Overview\n\n An established and growing building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer at Senior to Associate level to support the continued growth of its Manchester office.\n\n This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded consultancy delivering technically complex, design-led projects across the built environment, with a strong focus on sustainability, building physics and practical engineering solutions. \n\nThe Business\n\nEstablished building services consultancy with a strong reputation in the UK market\nOperating across multiple offices including Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool\nApproximately 75 employees with consistent growth over the past 15+ years\nEmployee Ownership Trust (EOT) structure - offering tax-free annual bonuses (up to £3,600)\nStrong emphasis on collaboration, technical excellence and long-term staff development\nThe business delivers full MEP consultancy services, including electrical design, sustainability, building physics and low-carbon solutions across a wide range of sectors. \n\nProjects\n\n You will be involved in a diverse portfolio of projects, including:\n\nHigh-rise residential developments\nCommercial office schemes\nMixed-use and large-scale urban developments\nProjects are typically delivered from concept through to detailed design, often on complex, high-value city centre schemes.

\n\nRole & Responsibilities\n\nLead and deliver electrical building services design from concept through to completion\nProduce and review detailed design calculations, specifications and drawings\nManage projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams\nEngage with clients, architects and external stakeholders\nSupport and mentor junior engineers (Senior level and above)\nContribute to technical standards, innovation and sustainable design strategies\nAt Associate level, there will also be a focus on:\n\nTeam leadership and project oversight\nClient relationship management and business development\nSupporting the growth and direction of the Manchester office\n\n Requirements\n\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering\nProven experience within a building services consultancy environment\nStrong technical knowledge of electrical design within the built environment\nExperience delivering projects across residential and/or commercial sectors\nProficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit and design tools\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nChartered status or working towards (e.g. CEng) is desirable.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nClear progression from Senior to Associate level\nEmployee Ownership Trust bonus (tax-free, up to £3,600 annually)\nOpportunity to work on high-profile, technically challenging projects\nCollaborative, growing business with a strong technical culture\nLong-term career development and leadership opportunities
