Role: Electrical and Mechanical TechnicianLocation: DoncasterSalary: £30,000 rising to £36,000 after 3-month probationary periodMy client is looking for a hands-on Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join a skilled in-house engineering team. This is a varied workshop-based role focused on the inspection, servicing, and repair of pumps and equipment.You will carry out detailed inspections, follow technical procedures and work instructions, and complete electro-mechanical repairs to ensure equipment is returned to full working order. The role also involves maintaining strong customer relationships and providing technical updates where required.Responsibilities include:Inspect, service, and repair pumping equipment and related systemsCarry out electro-mechanical fault finding and repairsFollow strict procedures and quality standards in all work undertakenComplete service reports and ensure accurate record keeping (GRNs, tracking, disposal processes)Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on technical mattersMaintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environmentOccasional UK site visits (company van provided)Skills & Experience:Minimum Level 3 engineering/technical qualificationAt least 3 years' experience in a hands-on workshop/service engineering roleElectrically competent with strong fault-finding abilityPractical understanding of motors, pumps, or rotating equipment (preferred but not essential)Comfortable working in a dirty, heavy-duty engineering environmentComputer literate (service reports and documentation required)Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approachWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
