We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive primary school in Burnley , starting September 2026 .

This is a full-time , temporary position offering long-term placement for the academic year.

Key responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum Support pupils academic, social and emotional development Assess and track progress in line with school and national expectations Work collaboratively with teaching staff, mentors and school leadership Create a positive, safe and inspiring classroom environment Pre-requisites Relevant teaching qualification leading to QTS (ECT status) Proven experience from teaching practice placements in primary xbpsjku settings Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies Two education or school-based references A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) If you are interested in this role, please apply via the form below.
