We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive primary school in Burnley, starting September 2026. This is a full-time, temporary position offering long-term placement for the academic year. Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Support pupils academic, social and emotional development
- Assess and track progress in line with school and national expectations
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, mentors and school leadership
- Create a positive, safe and inspiring classroom environment
Pre-requisites
- Relevant teaching qualification leading to QTS (ECT status)
- Proven experience from teaching practice xbpsjku placements in primary settings
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Two education or school-based references
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
