Position: Director of Operations (UK & IOM) Location: Deeside, Flintshire Job Type: Permanent / Onsite My client, a world-wide renowned name in the Aerospace industry are expanding the business moving into 2026 and are on the hunt for a Director of Operations Role and Responsibilities – Director of Operations In this role, you will manage and direct all activities related to production operation and facilities management. This will be through successful management of personal duties and staff across different key departments. Other responsibilities include:
Ensure all production deliveries are met through on-time execution of ERP schedule manufactured jobs Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the quality, efficiency and profitability of the overall business Responsible for monthly Sales, Inventory, & Operational Planning (SIOP) process, driving operation excellence into the business ensuring timely submission of approved forecast data into the finance department to support the month end forecasting process Drive a continuous improvement/lean mindset throughout the production floor, participating in lean events, Kaizens and the drive towards Zero Defects
Experience or Qualifications – Director of Operations
Extensive experience in a management role, demonstrating strong background in shop floor management Previous Continuous Improvement leadership experience (Lean/6s) Examples of achieving success in KPIs and boosting revenue for a SME or bigger sized business Background in Aerospace Engineering
