Design Technology Teacher - Burnley

Start: As Soon As Possible - Until End of Academic YearWorking through Veritas Education

Veritas Education is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Burnley. This is a full-time position starting immediately and running through to the end of the academic year.

The school is seeking a confident DT specialist who can deliver high-quality lessons across the full Design Technology curriculum, ensuring pupils are engaged, supported, and making progress in a practical and creative environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across a range of DT specialisms, which may include:

• Product Design
• Resistant Materials
• Graphics
• Engineering
• Textiles
• Food Technology (desirable but not essential)

You will deliver engaging lessons, maintain a safe workshop environment, and support pupils of varying abilities.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant DT teaching qualification
• Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum at KS3 and KS4
• Ability to plan and deliver creative, practical lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
