Design Technology Teacher - Burnley

Start: As Soon As Possible - Until End of Academic Year Working through Veritas Education

Veritas Education is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Burnley. This is a full-time position starting immediately and running through to the end of the academic year.

The school is seeking a confident DT specialist who can deliver high‑quality lessons across the full Design Technology curriculum, ensuring pupils are engaged, supported, and making progress in a practical and creative environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across a range of DT specialisms, which may include:

Product Design Resistant Materials Graphics Engineering Textiles Food Technology (desirable but not essential)You will deliver engaging lessons, maintain a safe workshop environment, and support pupils of varying abilities.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant DT teaching qualification Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum at KS3 and KS4 Ability to plan and deliver creative, practical lessons Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
