Join Electron-X as an Design Engineer (Mechanical)
At Electron-X, we specialise in high-quality industrial X-ray systems and servicesfrom large lead-lined rooms for aircraft engines and advanced multi-axis manipulators to compact cabinets for inspecting electronic components.
Were expanding and looking for a skilled Design Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team in Milton Keynes as soon as possible.
What Youll Be Doing
Design and drawing of parts and assemblies for x-ray enclosures and manipulators
Creating and updating bills of materials
Support and collaboration with the electrical designers
Supporting Project, Production and Installation Teams
What Were Looking For
A solid amount of practical experience of engineering design project work
Good MS Office skills (Word & Excel) and excellent written and spoken English
A pride in delivering high quality results.
Nice to have:
Experience in the following: NDT & X-Ray or relatable industries
Automation/software
Electrical Engineering

Your own Solidworks license (premium or professional) and hardware
The Offer
Working from home is envisaged but being relatively local (to Milton Keynes) would be advantageous for face-to-face meetings, office days and customer & supplier visits.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am5pm
6-month contract with possible extension
Salary: £35,000£40,000 pro rata depending on experience
