I’ll be honest — this isn’t a “tick every box” Deputy Headteacher role.
We’re looking for the right person, not the perfect CV.
An SEN school based in Haringey, working with young people who need consistency, structure, and adults who genuinely care. Some of our pupils have complex needs, many have faced challenges in education, and all of them deserve a leadership team that believes in them.
That’s where you come in.
A bit about the role
As Deputy Headteacher, you’ll work closely with the Head Teacher and the wider leadership team to keep the school moving forward — not just operationally, but culturally.
Day to day, that means being visible. Supporting staff when things are going well, and more importantly, when they’re not. Helping shape behaviour systems that actually work in practice, not just on paper. Being someone the team can rely on.
You’ll have real influence here — this isn’t a “second in command, stay in your lane” type of role.
Who we’re open to
Ideally, you’ve worked in SEN and understand the landscape — but I don’t want that to put you off applying if you haven’t.
If you come from a strong mainstream background and behaviour leadership is your strength, we absolutely want to hear from you.
