The Role

The Canopius Delegated Audit team is a vital part of the Delegated Authority Management function within the Operations Department. The main purpose of this function is to provide appropriate governance, frameworks, and controls of the Delegated Authority Portfolio to mitigate risks and ensure a profitable outcome for the business.

The Delegated Audit team is responsible for delivering the end-to-end delegated authority audit process for both Coverholders with underwriting and claims authority and Delegated Claims Administrators (DCA). The Delegated Audit Analyst reports to the Delegated Audit Manager and supports ensuring that all delegated activities under lead binding authority agreements comply with internal policies, Lloyd’s, industry regulations, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertake and support all day-to-day, annual, and ad hoc audit activities, including scheduling, scoping, report reviews, and recommending outcomes for Coverholder and DCA audits.
  2. Review audit reports and liaise with relevant stakeholders to agree and issue final post-audit actions to Coverholders, Brokers, and DCA’s.
  3. Liaise with Lloyd’s Central Audit Function regarding coordinated audits via the Lloyd’s platform.
  4. Manage responses to and from underwriters, brokers, Coverholders, claims teams, and DCA’s regarding audits.
  5. Manage the timely agreement and payment of quotes and invoices via the Xchanging system.
  6. Assist in maintaining, updating, and circulating relevant audit information from Lloyd’s, FCA, LMA, or other regulators, under the oversight of the Senior Audit Analyst.
  7. Support the preparation of reporting packs for internal committees.
  8. Ensure conduct minimum standards are maintained through audit oversight.
  9. Complete weekly, monthly, and ad hoc MI reports to support senior management, providing accurate rationale for submissions.
