Data Scientist£#removed# per day | Outside IR35 | SC Cleared5 May start | Initial 4 months | Remote-facing We’re recruiting for an SC-cleared Data Scientist to join a major public sector programme delivering innovative data capability in a secure environment. This is a hands‑on role focused on building and testing machine learning and analytics proof of concepts, surfacing insight from complex datasets, and presenting outputs clearly to stakeholders. You’ll join a fast‑paced innovation team working in short sprint cycles across anomaly detection, data quality, statistical modelling and LLM‑based summarisation. Role responsibilities
Build and test ML and analytics proof of concepts Identify patterns, anomalies and insight across complex datasets Apply statistical modelling and AI techniques to operational challenges Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Work in short, delivery-focused sprint cycles
Experience
Strong data science background with hands‑on ML and AI experience Strong Python skills, including PySpark and PyTorch AWS experience, particularly SageMaker, S3, Athena and Lambda Strong stakeholder communication skills Experience working in agile, delivery-focused environments Tableau and operational datasets experience beneficial
