Job title: Data Migration LeadRate: £375-£500 Inside IR35Location: Hybrid, LeedsLength: Initial 6 Months Panoramic Associates are working with a large public sector organisation who are undertaking a major transformation programme to replace multiple legacy applications with a single system. A critical success factor for this programme is the quality, structure and readiness of organisational data. The position acts as a central link between operational teams, digital and IT functions, governance specialists and external delivery partners. The focus is on ensuring that data is properly understood, standardised and prepared in a consistent and controlled way before implementation begins.Context The programme is currently in its early phase, with initial governance structures established and preliminary data assessments underway. Data readiness has been identified as a key programme risk.The organisation needs to demonstrate a clear understanding of its data estate, including what exists, what is required for migration and the level of quality that can be evidenced.Key responsibilitiesLead data assessment and profiling, which includes evaluating completeness, accuracy, duplication and structural issuesEstablish data standards and controls, setting validation criteria, naming conventions and classification structures that can be applied across multiple domainsDevelop and maintain a comprehensive data inventoryDesign and oversee data improvement activity, including tasks, rules and acceptance criteria, and support teams responsible for executing the workMonitor progress against plan and provide clear reporting on performance, risks and variancesDefine data mapping and transformation approachSkills and experienceExperience leading data quality and migration readiness within large-scale transformation programmesExperience supporting enterprise system implementations such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar platformsData analysis and transformation tools such as SQL, ETL solutions, Power Query or PythonExperience within the public sector or similarly complex organisational environmentsExperience establishing or enhancing data governance frameworksIf you'd like to learn more, pop across an application!
