Job Description

Data Analyst (Royalties)

London

Up to £70,000

The Role

The Data Analyst will own analysis of royalty income data across catalogues, DSPs, territories and partners. Your focus is on identifying patterns, anomalies and movements that matter, building reporting that stakeholders trust, and flagging issues early so they can be acted on. This is an insight-led role rather than pure reporting - success is measured by how confidently the business can use your outputs to make decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyse royalty ledger data to identify trends, anomalies and unexpected movements.
  • Run revenue assurance and data-quality checks to surface gaps and inconsistencies early.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that highlight performance, risk and opportunity.
  • Partner with FPA to assess commercial impact and support accruals for potentially missing income.
  • Work with publishing, label and internal teams to clarify data issues and support claims.
  • Improve queries, reporting logic and data flows to make insight faster, cleaner and more repeatable.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with complex datasets in music, media or finance (royalty or rights data highly desirable).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience using a BI tool (Tableau or similar).
  • Comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders and shaping ambiguous questions into structured analysis.
  • Commercially minded, solution-oriented and focused on impact.
  • High ownership, collaborative, and naturally curious about how the business operates.
