Credit Controller – Initial 6-Month Contract
Office-Based | Burton-upon-Trent | £28,000 – £29,000

Eaton Syalon is recruiting a Credit Controller to join a well-established, reputable business based in Burton-upon-Trent on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with previous Credit Control experience who enjoys a varied, end-to-end position within a fast-paced and supportive team environment.

Review customer credit profiles and maintain appropriate credit limits

*

Manage customer accounts to ensure payments are received in line with agreed terms, following up on overdue balances

*

Post and allocate cash receipts to the correct customer accounts

*

Record incoming queries promptly and work closely with internal teams to resolve them within agreed timeframes

*

Complete credit checks for both new and existing customers in line with internal policies and insurance requirements

*

Investigate and resolve any customer debit notes or discrepancies efficiently

*

Prepare regular reports highlighting overdue accounts for review

*

Escalate problematic or aged debt to the AR Manager where appropriate

*

Raise ad-hoc invoices, including recharges, rentals, and asset-related billings

*

Process credit notes in accordance with internal controls and approval processes

*

Distribute customer statements within set deadlines

*

Support rebate calculations and process the relevant credit notes

About You:

*

Previous experience in a Credit Control or office-based finance role

*

Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with customers and internal stakeholders

*

Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines

*

A proactive approach with strong attention to detail

*

Available to start immediately or at short notice
