Cover Supervisor - Andover

Prospero Teaching is looking for confident, enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Andover. This role involves stepping into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials, and keeping students focused, engaged, and working productively.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working with young people and want hands‑on classroom experience. It's especially suitable for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth‑work professionals, or anyone with strong communication and leadership skills.

Both full‑time and flexible part‑time/day‑to‑day positions are available.

The Role:

Lead lessons using work set by the class teacher
Supervise classes across a variety of subjects (no planning required)
Manage behaviour and maintain expectations in line with school policies
Support students with questions and class tasks
Work across KS3 & KS4 depending on daily staffing needs
Provide a calm, structured presence in the classroom

Ideal Candidate:

Experience with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, etc.)
Confident managing behaviour and addressing challenges
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable covering different subjects
Graduates or aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to apply

Contract Details:

Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Andover
Start: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full‑time, part‑time, or day‑to‑day
Pay: Up to £130 per day
Age Groups: KS3-KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

Experience with children or young people required
Safeguarding training can be provided
Behaviour management experience helpful

Eligibility:

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
