The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for a proactive and commercially aware Conveyancer to take ownership of a varied caseload of residential or commercial property matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth transactions, maintaining compliance, and building strong relationships with clients and third parties.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management

  • Manage a full caseload of residential or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Handle freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers, and refinancing matters

Legal & Technical Delivery

  • Conduct title checks, searches, and enquiries, raising requisitions where necessary
  • Draft, review, and prepare contracts, transfers, leases, and associated legal documentation

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors, and other solicitors
  • Provide clear, timely updates and maintain excellent client care throughout the transaction lifecycle

Compliance & Process Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML checks and internal policies
  • Manage exchange of contracts, completions, and post-completion processes, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations

Organisation & Administration

  • Maintain accurate file records and case management systems
  • Proactively manage deadlines and progress transactions efficiently

Ideal Background & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing
  • Experience managing a full caseload independently
  • Strong understanding of property transactions, land law, and conveyancing processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable

  • Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or Solicitor
  • Knowledge of AML regulations, SDLT requirements, and Land Registry procedures
  • Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office
