You will act as a technical point of contact for internal teams and customers, ensuring manufacturing solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with a zero-defect mindset.Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Composite Manufacturing Engineer, you will:Lead the development of composite processing techniques and assembly strategies for specialised, high-integrity componentsProvide technical leadership across new and existing programmes, including direct customer interactionDrive manufacturing improvements aligned with right-first-time and defect prevention principlesUse data-driven problem solving to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsCreate and maintain clear work instructions covering the full manufacturing process from lay-up through to final assembly and finishingLead continuous improvement activities focused on waste reduction and efficiency gainsCreate, review and maintain BOMs and routings within an ERP systemDefine, specify and approve tooling for moulding and assembly processesLead PFMEA activities and ensure robust control plans are implemented across product linesAct as the technical focal point for NPI and wider engineering project activitiesSkills, Knowledge & ExperienceStrong experience within composite manufacturing processes, including pre-preg (autoclave and out-of-autoclave) and RTMKnowledge of composite material testing methods (advantageous)Strong problem-solving capability using structured techniques such as root cause analysisEngineering qualification to HND level or equivalent, or relevant apprenticeship with substantial industry experienceStrong analytical, organisational and communication skillsAbility to work independently while supporting and influencing a wider operations and engineering teamJBRP1_UKTJ
