A well-established fresh produce business based at Tilbury Docks is looking to appoint an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join its site-based compliance function.This is a compliance-led role and will suit someone with previous experience in a fresh produce compliance position

Reporting into the Compliance function, you will be responsible for coordinating supplier and site compliance activity, ensuring standards are met and maintained throughout the supply chain.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with suppliers to collate, review and maintain due diligence documentation, filing records on internal and customer platforms

• Completing supplier approval processes on customer due diligence systems

• Conducting and maintaining supplier risk assessments

• Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on due diligence compliance throughout the supply period

• Managing the daily chemical surveillance testing schedule for incoming suppliers

• Conducting supplier recall and traceability exercises

• Maintaining and updating approved supplier lists (internal and customer-specific)

• Supporting BRCGS compliance, audit preparation and corrective action close-out

• Collating, reviewing and trending supplier compliance data, including food safety and regulatory metrics

• Essential: Previous experience in a fresh produce compliance role

• Essential: Hands-on experience working to BRCGS standards

• Educated to degree level, ideally in Food Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related scientific discipline

• Strong working knowledge of supplier due diligence and risk assessment

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Power BI advantageous)

• Confident managing online compliance platforms and large datasets

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a deadline-focused approach

• Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels

• Compliance-focused role with clear ownership and accountability

• Exposure to a high-volume, regulated fresh produce operation
