Air Conditioning Engineer ‘Commercial & Residential’\n\nSwindon, Wiltshire (travel across Home Counties, South West & South East)\n\nMonday to Thursday - 7:30AM – 5:00PM\n\nFriday - 7:30AM – 4:00PM\n\nSalary is dependent on experience\n\nWe are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client.\n\nDuties will include:\n\n * Carrying out installation of split, multi-split, cassette, ducted, VRF/VRV and hybrid VRF systems (including associated controls).\n\n * Undertaking servicing, planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs on DX A/C and heat pump systems.\n\n * Completing all necessary documentation, including Field Service Reports, asset registers, commissioning sheets and F-Gas records, as requested by the Senior Mechanical Contracts Managers.\n\n * Supervising all aspects of jobs on site, including labour, materials, subcontractors and programme.\n\n * Meeting deadlines and keeping accurate job records, including variations/extra works, materials used and any delays incurred.\n\n * Ordering parts in the absence of Senior Mechanical Contracts Managers and liaising with suppliers.\n\n * Commissioning, pressure testing, evacuation and charging systems in line with manufacturers’ instructions and current regulations.\n\n * Diagnosing faults on electrical/mechanical/control components and undertaking effective repairs.\n\n * Carrying out all works to a high standard while complying with all relevant health & safety and environmental standards (including safe refrigerant handling).\n\n * Liaising with Senior Mechanical Contracts Managers on any safety issues identified and any faulty equipment.\n\nOffer:\n\nCompany Vehicle and Fuel Card\n\nCompany Pension Scheme\n\n28 days a year holiday inclusive of eight current recognised Bank Holidays\n\nCompany Mobile\n\nIndustry training and development provided (manufacturer product courses & F-Gas CPD)\n\nCompany uniform and PPE provided\n\nThe Person:\n\nTo be considered for this role, you should be fully qualified and have proven, previous experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer, including:\n\n * Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in installation, service & maintenance of DX A/C and heat pump systems.\n\n * F-Gas Category 1 (City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent) – essential.\n\n * NVQ Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).\n\n * Proven experience with residential splits, multi-splits, VRF/VRV (including heat recovery) and hybrid VRF systems.\n\n * Competence in commissioning, leak testing, evacuation and charging.\n\n * Sound electrical knowledge for A/C systems (controls, interconnecting wiring, fault-finding).\n\n * Ability to carry out installations to a high standard in occupied buildings.\n\n * Full UK driving licence.\n\n * CSCS Card holder an advantage.\n\n * IPAF/PASMA an advantage.\n\n * DBS an advantage.\n\nBy applying for this role you give permission for Purely Recruitment to submit your personal information contained within your CV or any other relevant information provided in order for the prospective employer to review your application for the specific role applied for.
