Commercial Manager

Madisons Recruitment are working with a leading specialist in passive fire protection and fire door installation in their search for a Commercial Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and MD to support the financial and commercial performance of all projects, while also overseeing cash flow, estimating, invoicing, and contract terms to ensure smooth project delivery and healthy margins.
Commercial Manager Key Responsibilities:
Monitor cash flow and project financial performance.
Creating Application and Invoices based on due dates.
Support estimating for fire doors and fire stopping.
Log variations and manage payment applications and invoicing.
Implement a structured debt chasing system.
Negotiate contract payment terms to support positive cash flow.
Assist with arranging urgent payments for on-site activities.
Commercial Manager Requirements:
Previous experience in a commercial or estimating role (construction or fire protection).
Strong understanding of project finances, contracts, and invoicing.
Strong excel or similar and computer skills required.
Confident communicator, well-organised, and proactive.
Experience in passive fire protection in a similar role is highly advantageous.
Own car (fuel card provided).
