A leading international law firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Disputes Associate to join its highly regarded Birmingham team. The Opportunity

You will join a dynamic and growing Commercial Dispute Resolution team, recognised for handling complex, often international disputes across a broad client base. The team acts for major corporates, global organisations, and public sector bodies, regularly advising on some of the firm’s most significant and high-profile matters.

The Role

You will:

  • Advise on a wide range of commercial disputes, including corporate disputes, group actions, technology and outsourcing disputes, and civil fraud
  • Work on high-value, complex and often cross-border matters
  • Take ownership of your own cases while supporting on larger, multi-jurisdictional disputes
  • Work closely with partners and senior lawyers across the firm and internationally
  • Engage directly with clients and play a role in business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with sector specialists across areas such as energy, technology, manufacturing and industrials
  • The Candidate

    You will:

    • Be a qualified solicitor with 1–5 years’ PQE in commercial litigation/disputes
    • Have strong technical grounding and exposure to a broad range of disputes work
    • Be proactive, commercially minded, and keen to take on responsibility
    • Have strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
    • Ideally have some exposure to international or cross-border matters (though not essential)
    • Be ambitious and keen to develop specialist expertise over time
