Equifind is supporting a leading mid-market private equity investor with the recruitment of a newly created Commercial Finance Manager to join their London team.


The business is in an exciting phase of growth, expanding into new international markets and executing a number of strategic acquisitions. As a result, the finance team is needing to strengthen its finance and data capabilities to provide deeper, more contextual insight into the firm’s financial performance.


As a newly created position, this role offers the opportunity to shape and develop the function in your own way, putting a real personal stamp on it. You’ll also act as a quasi #2 to the Finance Director and be involved in senior management meetings from day one.


Key duties include

  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple teams, keeping everything accurate and aligned with wider goals.
  • Deliver clear monthly reporting and analysis on revenue, costs and KPIs, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Act as a commercial partner to senior stakeholders, using data and insight to influence decisions.
  • Build and maintain financial models and dashboards for planning, business cases and scenario analysis.
  • Support board packs, investor updates and ad-hoc deep dives as needed.
  • Streamline and improve processes as the FP&A function grows.


Key requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience, ideally working within FP&A.
  • A degree that clearly shows strong numerical and analytical ability.
  • Prior experience of working with FCA regulated businesses.
  • Advanced-level Excel skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of three-statement models.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills.

  • £100-120,000 base salary.
