Role Description An opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Commercial Finance Analyst to join the Commercial Finance team in Mediabrands UK. In this role, you will support the Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager in preparing accurate monthly and full-year forecasts, and work closely with agency teams to ensure financial targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities
Provide key support for the Commercial Business Partner and Finance Manager to give an overall view of the agency's performance. Maintain up-to-date P&L forecast files, including monthly revenue by client, salary costs, and OPEX costs with particular attention to monthly phasing. Collaborate with wider finance teams to ensure accurate alignment of revenue projections across various SBUs. Liaise with HR and business leads to ensure salary files accurately reflect current cost position and business needs. Support the Commercial team in preparing monthly client profitability summaries for senior client leads/directors and work with the business to ensure accounts are profitable. Provide Global Client Finance with timesheet reports in line with client contract requirements. Accurately input forecast data into forecasting software, ensuring consistency with presented information on revenue and profit. Work closely with client teams to ensure monthly media projections align with system actuals and resolve any discrepancies. Prepare analysis for quarterly performance presentations to C‑Suite level employees. Support the reporting team with month‑end variance analysis. Maintain contract inventory. Drive continuous improvement across finance and agency teams with the opportunity to support commercially key projects, audit and legal compliance work.
Desired Skills & Experience
Studying towards, or willing to study towards, a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. Commercially minded with an interest in understanding how the business operates. Media industry experience desirable. Strong Excel skills. High attention to detail. A team player with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude who can collaborate effectively while also working independently when required. Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem‑solving and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability/desire to work closely with stakeholders outside of finance.
