This high‑impact role focuses on surfacing and scaling insights that power Cleo’s financial strategy and external market communications. You’ll pull together product, user, and financial data to show how our initiatives drive real growth and impact. You’ll connect the dots across the business and deliver analysis that strengthens both internal decision‑making and external reporting. Embedded within Strategic Finance, you’ll work closely with the CEO Office, Capital Markets, and Product leaders to translate complex business dynamics into metrics and stories that resonate. From shaping quarterly investor updates to building scalable systems that track performance against strategy, you’ll ensure Cleo speaks to the market with precision, transparency, and authority. While supported by an established Commercial Analytics team, this is the first role dedicated to owning this insight layer within Strategic Finance. What You’ll Be Doing
Investor‑Ready Insights: Transform product, user, and financial data into clear, defensible analyses for board decks, trading updates, and investor communications. Performance Storytelling: Partner with Product and Data teams to highlight the real impact of new features, improvements, and user behaviours—connecting product progress directly to financial outcomes. Insight Infrastructure: Build dashboards, semantic layers, and automated reporting pipelines that bring consistency, clarity, and trust to how Cleo tracks and reports performance. Contextual Impact Analysis: Bring together product, user, and financial data to explain how key behaviours—such as attach rates, retention patterns, or feature adoption—influence broader performance and growth. External Reporting & Communications: Partner with Finance and Design to create investor‑ready outputs—from annual financial reports to quarterly trading updates—ensuring Cleo communicates with precision, consistency, and visual clarity. Market Benchmarking: Monitor peers and competitors to position Cleo’s progress in context, surfacing insights that inform our story and sharpen our strategy. Data Governance: Champion clarity and consistency in definitions, documentation, and reporting to ensure investors and internal leaders always see a single source of truth.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in data analytics, BI engineering, analytics engineering, or hybrid data/finance roles, ideally in a high‑growth, product‑led company. Expert‑level SQL. Hands‑on experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Mode, Tableau) and data workflow tools (dbt, Airflow). A solid grasp of financial and operational metrics—ideally having worked closely with FP&A, Strategic Finance, or similar teams. A bias for action and ownership—you’re excited to build from scratch, own it end‑to‑end, and deliver value fast. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work fluidly across technical and non‑technical teams. Interest in fintech and Cleo’s mission to make money easier and more human.
Nice to Have
Prior experience automating or supporting investor‑facing reporting or board materials. Experience working in environments with a blend of consumer tech and financial services (e.g. AI, lending, credit, payments).
