CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator Location: Chelmsley Wood Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour Hours: Full-time, 6am2pm or 7am3pm, with an early finish on Fridays Holidays: 22 days + 8 bank holidays

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering team in Chelmsley Wood. This role is ideal for a multi-skilled machinist with strong programming knowledge and hands-on machining capability across complex, high-precision components.

Key Responsibilities Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. Creating, editing, and optimising programs using Fusion 360. Machining mild steel with some aluminium, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality surface finishes. Managing coolant systems and tool life to maximise machining efficiency. Producing components on 3+1 axis and 3+2 axis machinery. Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring all parts meet required tolerances. Maintaining an organised, safe, and efficient work area.

Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator in a precision engineering setting. Strong knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. Confident using Fusion 360 for programming. Experience working with mild steel and aluminium. Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
