We are an established family-owned subcontract engineering firm specializing in precision CNC machining. We supply predominately machined steel fabrications and cast-iron components to industry, ranging from 100 kg to 3 tonnes. The role provides the opportunity to work within our award-winning engineering facility in Rochdale alongside a team of highly skilled machinists using the latest technology. The Role Programming, setting and operating of Heidenhain CNC Milling Machines to produce low volume precision parts Setting up tooling and fixturing, prove out and execute part programs Follow planned operations to completion at prescribed production rates to meet customer delivery schedule in accordance with Company H&S and Quality Policies Maximize production while maintaining effective and efficient use of materials and tooling Carry out in-process inspection to drawing specifications Forward plan to minimise set-up time and maximize production You In order to be successful in this position as a skilled CNC

Miller, you will have the following skills and experience; Experienced in writing and editing programs and able to read and interpret engineering drawings to a high standard Competent in setting and operating CNC machines Able to perform initial inspections of your own/a team members work using a variety of measuring equipment e.g. micrometers Sound understanding of materials, modern cutting methods and engineering processes Produce high quality and accurate output with minimal error rate Flexible approach to working and willing to work overtime as required to fulfil customer delivery schedules
