Job Description

Civil Engineer\nLocation: Birmingham\nSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 plus benefits\n\nI am recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join a respected consultancy in Birmingham delivering residential and commercial development projects. This is a strong opportunity for a Civil Engineer with solid drainage and infrastructure design experience who wants progression within a supportive, well established civil engineering team.\n\nThis Civil Engineer role focuses on private and adoptable drainage design from concept through to technical approval. As a Civil Engineer, you will work closely with senior staff, contribute to S38, S278 and S104 submissions and build valuable client-facing experience.

You will liaise with clients, local authority officers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth coordination across all project stages.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n* Produce detailed foul and surface water drainage designs using MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage\n* Prepare S38, S278 and S104 technical submissions\n* Create engineering drawings using AutoCAD with PDS or Civil 3D\n* Liaise with clients, council officers and internal design teams\n* Support feasibility studies, technical reports and project documentation\n* Contribute to planning coordination and quality assurance activities\n* Develop technical capability through project-based learning and structured training\n\nAbout You\n* Degree qualified Civil Engineer or related discipline\n* Three to four years UK experience in drainage and highways design\n* Confident using AutoCAD, PDS or Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage\n* Strong communication, numeracy and problem-solving skills\n* Comfortable managing multiple projects in a consultancy environment\n\nWhy Apply\nThis Civil Engineer position offers progression, stability and development.
