We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established childrens care organisation for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a 6-bed residential home in the Heathrow area of West London supporting children and young people with learning disabilities . This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated senior residential childcare professional who is looking to progress their leadership career while making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. The Role

Reporting directly to the Registered Manager , the Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring a high standard of care and a safe, supportive environment for the children. You will play a key role in motivating staff, maintaining regulatory standards, and promoting positive outcomes for young people. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home
Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the care team
Ensure the home operates in line with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
Support and empower children with learning disabilities to reach their full potential
Promote a nurturing, structured, and positive living environment
Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
Maintain effective communication with families, social workers, and external professionals
Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Registered Manager
Requirements Previous experience working in childrens residential care
Experience supporting children with learning disabilities
Experience in a senior support worker or team leader role within a residential setting (desirable)
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Residential Care (or equivalent)
Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
Strong leadership, organisational, xehkeey and communication skills
A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people
