Children and Young Person Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children, young people and adults. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment, promoting development, and ensuring individual needs are met. Duties

Assist children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Implement and follow personalised care plans in collaboration with families, social workers, and other professionals
Support children in educational, recreational, and social activities to promote development and independence
Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster confidence and resilience
Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
Maintain accurate records of support provided, behaviour observations, and progress reports
Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure cohesive care delivery
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times, recognising signs of distress or concern

Qualifications

Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely to various locations
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and team members
Knowledge of child development principles and care planning processes
Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Commitment to safeguarding standards and a genuine passion for supporting young people's growth and wellbeing

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From £20 per hour
