We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead a busy, high-quality school catering operation in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working with fresh food, leading teams, and making a positive impact on young peoples daily lives all while maintaining an excellent worklife balance.
The Role As Kitchen Manager, you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of nutritious, well-presented meals that meet high standards of quality, safety, and service.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and motivating a kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality meals

Planning menus in line with nutritional guidelines and budget requirements

Ensuring full compliance with food safety, allergen, and health & safety standards

Managing stock control, ordering, and cost management

Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation

Building positive relationships with school staff and pupils

About You Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role

Strong people management and organisational skills

A passion for fresh, nutritious food and child-focused catering

Excellent knowledge of food safety, allergens, and compliance

Ability to work efficiently in a structured, fast-paced environment
