Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a Michelin-recognised pub with rooms located in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team, delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes across both restaurant service and guest dining.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a fresh food, quality-driven environment and wants to be part of a well-respected operation with a strong reputation for food, service, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run your designated section efficiently during service
  • Prepare and present dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Work with fresh, seasonal ingredients across a changing menu
  • Support both restaurant and rooms dining service where required
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • Assist with prep, stock control, and kitchen organisation
  • Support the senior kitchen team and junior chefs during service

About You

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a fresh food kitchen
  • Experience in gastropub or quality restaurant environments preferred
  • Michelin or Bib Gourmand background desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Calm, organised, and able to perform under pressure
  • Passionate about seasonal cooking and consistent delivery
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude
